Hills of Milk and Honey Farm Experience - CC

10.00

We are thrilled to host Casey Custer and friends at Hills of Milk and Honey on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 9 AM - 12 PM! Please note the time change. This event will start at 9 AM on this date.

This two hour interactive tour of our 12 acre educational farm includes a garden activity, time to spend with and learn about dairy goats, rabbits, chickens, and livestock guardian dogs, as well as a mini lesson on beekeeping. Due to the much warmer weather, we will have a water slide for the kids to play on to cool off, so please pack swimsuits, towels, etc. if you plan to allow your children to participate in the water play. At the end of the interactive tour, there will be an additional hour allotted for you to enjoy a picnic lunch here on the farm if you choose to bring one.

Our farm focuses on regenerative agriculture practices and lessons taught during your time on the farm will be geared toward building an awareness and understanding of the role we all play in the larger food system. It will be engaging and fun with plenty of time for the children, and adults, to get their questions answered about the way our farm participates in the process of growing food and getting it on the plates of folks in our community.

Parking is limited, so please carpool if possible. The address is 2434 Martin Road, Dripping Springs, TX 78620. Drive west toward Johnson City on HWY 290, turn right on McGregor and then turn left on Martin Road.

All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.

REQUIRED:

Close-toed shoes for all participants.

Signed liability waivers for all participants.

RECOMMENDED:

Comfortable clothing for walking over uneven terrain.

We are a working farm. Please keep this in mind when choosing clothing and shoes. We nearly promise they will go home dirty, which is a sign of a great time on the farm! ;-)

Bottle of water, hat, sunglasses, and/or sunscreen.

Read through FAQ page for helpful hints prior to participation.

Also, we offer various other program opportunities, so please browse our website, and sign up for our monthly newsletter so you can receive up-to-date information about the farm as well as upcoming events.

Additionally, we rent our farm guest house out on AirBnB if you or someone you know is interested in booking a stay.

We look forward to seeing you on the farm!
