Farm School: Spring 2019 Semester - Week 9 of 10

  • Hills of Milk and Honey 2434 Martin Road Dripping Springs, Texas 78620 (map)

Did you know that in the next 20 years 70% of farm land will change hands? We need to grow more farmers who understand the importance of soil health and the principles of regenerative agriculture.

Children attending Farm School will learn about rotational grazing of livestock (goats, chickens, rabbits), seasonal gardening and composting, soil health and nutrient-density of foods, livestock guardian dog importance and care, beekeeping, cooking, advocacy, music and movement, fine arts, cooperative games, team-building, outdoor survival skills and more!

Core subjects are woven into the custom created curriculum created by Amy Milliron, M. Ed. that focuses on providing age-appropriate lessons in regenerative agriculture and food preparation.

This semester long program meets weekly on Thursdays from March 7-May 16 (no school on March 21) from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM.

Ages: Children ages 6-12

Cost: $650 for the semester
