Family-Friendly Farm Work Day
This volunteer sign up is for families to have the opportunity to serve the community together at Hills of Milk and Honey. These special farm work days are for adults and children ages 5+. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Hills of Milk and Honey is an educational farm focused on regenerative agriculture in Dripping Springs, Texas offering camps, classes, tours, workshops, field trips, and AirBnB stays!
We raise dairy goats, laying chickens, meat chickens, rabbits, honey bees, and we have the BEST livestock guardian dogs in our neck of the woods! We also enjoying growing vegetables, fruits and nuts in our teaching gardens. We focus on healing the soil so that it will, in turn, provide nutrient-dense food for our livestock, our family, and our community.
We bought our land in December of 2016 and launched the educational farm soon thereafter. We've been ramping up quickly and enjoy getting the community involved. When volunteers offer their time, they often find themselves creating garden beds, mucking animal stalls, cleaning and sanitizing feed and water buckets, and generally assisting us with routine farm tasks. However, from time to time, we have special projects that could use some extra hands, like building a greenhouse, building fences, or even helping prepare materials for camps and classes.
We will have projects on these farm work days that need a large number of people to assist with, as well as projects that are easy for children to help out with as well.
We will add spring time slots closer to the end of the year, so check back often. And, visit https://hillsofmilkandhoney.com to find out more about all of our upcoming events.
REQUIRED: A signed liability waiver will be required before you may volunteer. Waivers are available at the farm and can be filled out upon arrival. However, if you are under 18, you must have a parent sign the waiver and bring it with you, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request a waiver in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: We understand things come up, so if you are unable to arrive during your chosen scheduled time, please be sure to edit your registration to open up the spot for another volunteer.
Thank you for joining the Hills of Milk and Honey Community! We appreciate you!
